Core components
Show you understand and have selected issues to analyse your
learning as a result of your Everest simulation participation.
Demonstrate development and analysis of skills by using frameworks
and theories from MGMT 1001 course.
Reflect upon what you have learnt as a result of your experiences in a
supported manner (by utilising theories and frameworks from MGMT
1001).

tool for managers.
You will use your experience to apply what
the research offers in relation to
management development through
simulations
Three main sections
Section One: discusses the value of simulations as a learning
tool. With direct reference to the Issues encountered
during Everest
Explore: What you experienced doing the simulation. This should focus
on what worked well or did not work so you can analyse it later -
think about Management and people issues arising from your
Everest participation.
Remember you are trying to show the value (or not) of simulations
hence you must take a thesis position showing:
The value of simulations as a learning tool
OR showing there is no value in simulations as a learning tool
OR there is some value in simulations but more than simulations are
needed
ALL POSITIONS HAVE LIMITATIONS and these should be discussed
Approx 500 words
Considering your simulation experience
Pull out core issues SUPPORTED BY THEORY that you

Balance these sections, think beyond what
happened, to what it means for you

Draw upon frameworks and theories from MGMT 1001 and the
information you have gathered about simulations as a learning
experience reflect upon the value of simulated learning for you with
relevance to your future career.

Books do not count, no websites,
Layout and referencing
Check pages 9 and 10 of the unit outline
The format of the report is important (Title page, executive summary,
table of contents, introduction, headings and perhaps subheadings
in the body of the report, conclusion, reference list, appendices)
Spacing, student name and number along with page number in the
footer

citation and put it in your reference list

Write in the third person except for section 3
